Printing on special materials
PRINTING ON SYNTHETIC TEXTILES AND OTHER ATYPICAL MATERIALS
Synthetic fabrics or fabrics with a surface treatment can negatively affect the contact of the ink and the base to be printed on. These materials can also be sensitive to higher temperatures during curing of inks and cause yellowing while drying. In these cases, the use of inks and agents for increasing adhesion and elasticity is checked with producers of screen printing inks. Print tests are always performed and at the same time the mechanical strength of colors and their ability to resist rubbing off and washing are checked. For new materials a sample for test printing is required. Heavy-duty materials are printed on by two-component inks. These inks have a high covering power and flexibility. Even the great stretching of the base does not lead to tearing of the motif.
We also print on structured materials, such as fleece. The print template must be adjusted to this type of printing.
